Our company was founded in 1978 when Peter C Smith left his father’s business to start his own business with one coach. Over the years we have focused on providing a safe and reliable service, whilst continually investing in our fleet, which has created the highest levels of customer satisfaction and supported our continuous growth.
We are now Lincolnshire & Humberside’s largest independently owned bus & coach operator, operating 125 vehicles from depots at Lincoln, Louth, Horncastle & Grimsby and employing approximately 160 local people.
On a typical school day we take just over 5000 students to school or college, and then bring them safely home again.
In 1989 the company bought its first brand new coach, a Scania K113CRB with Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodywork which demonstrated the highest levels of reliability and comfort for our customers, which lead to a repeat order in 1990 and since then Scania vehicles have been the backbone of our fleet, with Scania vehicles still being our preferred choice for our buses and coaches today.
In 2023 we celebrated our 45th anniversary with the delivery of a Scania K360CB4 with a limited edition Irizar i6S "Trienta" Efficient body which was only 1 of 30 built for the UK market to celebrate 30 years of partnership between Scania and the Spanish coach builder, with Trienta being Spanish for Thirty.
Our group turnover now exceeds £12M per annum and our wide range of work includes local bus services, home to school & college transport, local authority contracts, corporate travel services, UK & European coach hire and our own coach holiday and day trip programme.
